Connect and Go create RFID solutions for cashless mobile payments

Anthony Palermo, Co-founder and CEO of tech solutions company, Connect&GO, has been named a finalist in this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards.

The Quebec awards programme recognises entrepreneurs who ‘drive growth, live outside the box and disrupt with purpose’.

“The EY Growth Barometer survey finds customer demand is one of the top forces driving innovation among middle market executives,” comments Luc Charbonneau, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Québec Program Co-Director.

“This is consistent with what we’re seeing in this year’s finalists. A surge of nominations in different categories like clean tech and food show us Québec entrepreneurs are proactively responding to changing demands and reinventing traditional business models.”

Altogether, 36 finalists have been selected across 10 categories. Palermo has been named in the ‘Technology – Under 100 Employees’ category.

Recognising the digital opportunity

The Connect&GO platform provides innovative solutions for a seamless customer experience for amusement parks, water parks, attractions and events. The system supports access solutions such as RFID wristbands, cashless payments and experiential activations.

“With digital advances underpinning changes in the market, it’s no surprise that each year we see the use of technology and data analytics to deliver innovation weave deeper into the group of finalists,” adds Daniel Baer, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Québec Program Co-Director.

“Entrepreneurs in Québec recognise the digital opportunity – and are moving with speed and agility to drive growth.”

The Québec finalists are set to gather on 1 November 2018 in Montréal, where EY will name one winner in each of the 10 categories selected by the independent panel of judges. From those, one finalist will be chosen as Québec Entrepreneur Of The Year and will go on to compete with regional winners from Atlantic, Ontario, Prairies and Pacific for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Canada title.

From there, the Canada winner will compete for EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in June 2019.
