Convious, a leading eCommerce platform for the leisure industry, has announced it has signed 11 new contracts in February 2022. This growth spans six countries and several different attractions industry sectors.
In response to changing guest expectations and growing digital trends, attractions have been turning to eCommerce platforms, in order to future-proof their sales and marketing infrastructure. Among Convious’ new long-term partnerships are Youseum, the interactive social-media inspired museum, Dutch illusion park Mind Mystery, and Funmania, a sports-themed park in the Netherlands. It has also partnered with a UK-based operator, Totally Attractions.
Harnessing the power of data
As well as welcoming new clients, Convious has also introduced new modules to existing customers. After seeing the success of its integrated end-to-end sales and marketing approaches in action, many of the company’s partners have also opted to add F&B ordering, merchandise and mobile optimisation features.
These partners include Germany’s Hannover Adventure Zoo, Wunderland Kalkar theme park and Fort Fun, France’s Planète Sauvage wildlife park, Almere Jungle wildlife park and De Flierefluiter, both in the Netherlands, and Jungle Trek adventure park in Spain.
“Today’s customers are far more accustomed to interacting with companies online,” says Convious’ Marjolein van de Velde, Benelux business development manager. “Leisure destinations are seeing huge increases in visitor conversion, sales increases and in repeat visitation by professionalising their online and offline sales channels and creating more personalised journeys for their customers before, during and after their visit.
“This increased demand and uptake demonstrates how leisure companies are investing in AI and data driven ecosystems to help them harness the power of data and enhanced marketing insights to respond and capitalise upon these changing customer preferences.”
Joep Heusschen, COO of Youseum, adds:
“With Convious we opted for a partner that is aligned with our mindset of scalability and growth and that will help us to continuously improve our most important revenue stream: ticketing.”
Earlier this year, Convious announced that Andy Povey has joined the team as its new managing director for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
