D-BOX Technologies, a world leader in immersive motion seating technology, has partnered ICAR to create Canada’s largest motion simulator centre.
The attraction features 10 state-of-the-art racing car simulators and opens at the motorsport complex in Mirabel this winter.
The International Centre of Advanced Racing (Circuit ICAR) features a 3.4 km, 16-turn road course, a drag strip, two kart tracks, a drift park and an off-road course. Designed by professional race drivers, the circuit is accredited by both FIA and ASN.
The motion simulator centre will add another adrenaline-fuelled layer to the venue’s offering.
Months of development have gone into the project. The simulators combine the expertise of VRX Simulators and the cutting-edge motion technology of D-BOX.
“This exciting new project brings together a wealth of talent, ingenuity and dedication,” commented Marc Arseneau, President of ICAR. “The result is an exceptional opportunity for racecar fans of all levels to hone their skills in a trailblazing motion simulator.
“Even better, we can offer the ability to go from a virtual racing experience to a real track in the same place.”
Arseneau described it as ‘a double dose of exhilaration that adrenaline junkies can’t get anywhere else’.
