DOF Robotics, a producer of dynamic simulation platforms, has revealed that it has collaborated with Feld Entertainment for one of its latest simulators.
The Monster Jam Grave Digger simulator features six independent axes, providing a variety of motions including pitch, roll and yaw to create a realistic driving experience. Equipped with VR headsets and integrated wind effects, the dynamic simulator allows guests to feel like they are actually travelling in the legendary Monster Jam Grave Digger monster truck.
Popular name
A series of monster trucks organised by Feld Entertainment, Monster Jam began in 1992 and has become the longest-running event of its type. With immense popularity especially in the United States, the acrobatic vehicle brand has also had tours in Europe, Canada and Australia.
Feld Entertainment is an American specialist in live productions, with events such as AMA Supercross Championship, Disney On Ice, Sesame Street and the simulator’s namesake, Monster Jam.
Its vehicle shows can often expect long queues, whether it be a Monster Jam arena tour such as the Thunder Nationals or one of two summer tours, Path of Destruction and Summer Heat. The franchise has also expanded to encompass other media including six video games and a mobile app.
Simulator specialist
Since it was founded in 2006, DOF Robotics has worked on various VR, AR and motion simulator projects. Amongst products it has installed are flying theatres, dark rides, immersive tunnels and dome theatres as well as XD and 4D theatres.
The technology firm has won a number of accolades including the IAAPA Brass Ring award in 2016, and at Las Vegas’ CES Fair in 2018, an Innovation Award in the Augmented Virtual Reality category, an event where the latest technologies are showcased from around the world.

For the first time, the Grave Digger Simulator will meet many attraction operators and fans at IAAPA Expo 2021, held in Orlando this week. During the event, audiences will have the opportunity to examine the simulator and test the experience for themselves at the DOF Robotics booth (#2286).
DOF Robotics recently announced Mission Space, a new experience for the themed attraction industry. The concept provides recreates an exciting journey of travelling to the moon for guests whilst firmly on land, through the use of various simulators provided by the company.
