Endurescreens partners with Simtec to bring next-gen projection screens to HEXaFLITEmini

HEXaFLITE mini

Endurescreens, a specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of world-class projection screens, has announced that its second-generation projection screens are being used in the HEXaFLITEmini Mini Flying Theater from Simtec Systems, a leader in motion-based simulators and dark rides.

This new mini flying theatre is able to provide more flexibility and creativity for attraction developers who are working with limited space. It is ideal for smaller venues, like shopping malls, museums and science centres, small theatres, and cruise ships, as well as serving as a stand-alone attraction in its own right. Endurescreens and Simtec are on hand to help operators develop their ideas, creating an exciting new flying theatre attraction for their venue.

Expert partnership

Endurescreens offers quality screen design, engineering, and on-site screen installation services and has delivered more than 50 flying theatre screens worldwide in recent years. For example, last year, the team brought a 14-meter diameter flying theatre screen to the Dominican Republic.

Working with Simtec, this new product illustrates how attraction operators can still offer a memorable flying theatre experience despite having challenges when it comes to the amount of space on offer. Simtec’s HEXaFLITEmini can sear four, eight or 10 passengers and has been specially developed for venues with low ceiling heights of around six metres. It is available with an electric or hydraulic 6 Degrees of Freedom motion system and also includes special effects such as wind, scent, and rain.

“This revolutionary creation proves that even with limited space, previously impossible locations are now possible,” says Endurescreens. “Very soon, this flying theatre will become the most mentioned attraction in the market, which represents more space flexibility, energy saving-projection screen project, as well as the new generation of revenue generator for your venue.”

Last year, Endurescreens also announced the release of its next-generation screen surface, following months of research and development. The breakthrough new technology will be applied to both of the firm’s signature products, Pro+ and Micro Pro.
