Gateway Ticketing Systems’ European User Group Meeting a Resounding Success

The Gateway Ticketing Systems European user community gathered at Disneyland® Paris’ Newport Bay Club Hotel & Convention Center on September 16, 2013, for two days of networking and information exchange.

Close to 70 customers, prospects and Gateway representatives from nine countries were energized by sharing user experiences, suggestions and successes and learning about new and upcoming enhancements to Gateway’s flagship point of sale and revenue generation product, the Galaxy® software suite.

Speaking to the importance of the event, nicknamed Euro UGM, Scott Lobaugh, Director of Business Solutions at Gateway said: “As a company with a strong and growing global presence, one of our goals is to provide a deeper level of interaction among our international customer, employee and reseller bases. It’s always exciting to see the passion that so many people from so many different places and venues have for this industry. It makes for a very valuable experience that empowers our customers to take their operations and revenue to the next level!”

The two days included something for everyone, from product demos and how-to’s to roundtable product discussions and presentations on complimentary industry solutions. Host Disneyland Paris provided the attendees with exclusive insight into two of their current project implementations. Carly Woodmansey, Operations Manager at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester, walked away more excited than ever about Galaxy: “It was my first year at Gateway’s UGM and I found it extremely useful. I’ve gotten plenty of new ideas to take back to my attraction – it was an excellent chance to network and exchange ideas!”

Warner Brothers Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter® Senior Applications Analyst, Dominic Stern echoed Carly’s enthusiasm: “The User Group Meetings always provide a fantastic opportunity to network, see how other people are using the system and also learn more about the application. We were tasked with coming back from the meeting with at least one thing we could implement into our attraction, we left this years with three!

The Gateway Ticketing Systems management and employees extend their thanks to all of the attendees for their participation and look forward to next year’s European User Group meeting.
