MyndHub mind control headset overfunded on Kickstarter

MyndPlay, a UK-based developer of headsets that enable users to control electrical devices and gadgets with their minds, is overfunded after launching its MyndHub product on Kickstarter.

Created by entrepreneur and The Apprentice star Tre Azam, MyndHub uses the MyndBand EEG Brainwave headset and MyndPlayer mind-controlled video platform.

Combined, these allow users to control, influence and interact with video games, apps and movies using their minds and emotions.

“We underutilize the power of our minds given all the daily digital distractions, this leads to poor focus” Azam said.

“MyndHub is a screen-free way to utilize EEG, without any programming and we’re bringing neurofeedback out of digital and into the physical world”.

Control devices and gadgets with your mind

The MyndHub and MyndBand were available to pre-order for £290 ($366) on Kickstarter until 8 June, with shipments due to be sent out by November 2022.

Azam said he aimed to “build a tool that would allow brain training and neurofeedback to become part of everyday life and become fun so you could truly play with your mind to become mentally fit”.

“MyndHub is Jedi brain training technology,” he said last year. “It’s a tool that allows any product to become mind-controlled within minutes.”

“It allows you to open doors with your mind, turn on lightsabers, power things, make things go forward and backward,” he added.

Last year, Elon Musk’s Neuralink implanted a wireless chip into a “totally happy” monkey’s brain, allowing the animal to “play video games using his mind”.
