3dx Scenic, a leader in custom scenic design and fabrication, has announced that it is under new ownership and will now concentrate its activities primarily on themed entertainment.
Mark Rosenzweig and Matt Waldenmeyer took ownership of the firm on 1 December 2023. With careers spanning more than 20 years each, both have a wealth of industry experience. Rosenzweig has previously served at Zamperla and Ride Entertainment and has a background in attraction development and sales. Waldenmeyer built the shop at 3dx Scenic – he joined the firm as a carpenter and progressed to the position of director of operations.

3dx Scenic was founded in 1999 in Cincinnati, US, and specialises in custom manufacturing, scenic painting, digital and robotic sculpting, and composites (fibreglass and polyurea).
Under Rosenzweig and Waldenmeyer’s ownership, the studio will continue to be committed to the core values of transparency, collaboration, and integrity.
The firm’s portfolio includes several decades as the in-house scene shop for a live events production company, and well-known projects for Cedar Fair, Sea World, Six Flags, and Palace Entertainment families. It also provides sub-contractor services for manufacturers in the industry.
As an independent company, 3dx Scenic will now focus primarily on themed entertainment.

Last year, 3dx Scenic partnered with SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment on the Big Bird’s Beach-themed zone at Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, US.
