Albertville Approves Studies for Sony Pictures’ Mall of Entertainment

The city of AlbertvilleĀ has approved an environmental and traffic study for theĀ Mall of Entertainment.

The proposed development would be built next to the AlbertvilleĀ outlet mall and includeĀ an interactive indoor waterpark, an exploration-based out of home adventure, a Sony Pictures Entertainment Back-Lot edutainment experience and a 275 room Marriot Hotel and convention center.

At a cost of $115 million, the Mall of Entertainment would open in 2018.

The Mall of Entertainment developersĀ Black Forest LLC, are aĀ partnership between Casey Darkenwald, Robert Kelly, Kevin Hanson and iP2 Entertainment.
