Disney World has released concept art unveiling Epcot‘s World Celebration neighbourhood, part of the park’s historic transformation, as well as a rendering of the new Moana-themed attraction.
Disney’s new concept art shows the gardens and venues being created behind Epcot’s Spaceship Earth in World Celebration, which will feature a hub divided into several different gardens.
World Celebration will be a lush new area filled with seating and shade. Each garden will have its own identity and will change along with the festivals throughout the year.
Bringing international festivals to the centre of the Epcot experience, CommuniCore Hall will be a multi-use facility, while CommuniCore Plaza will be an outdoor event space.
CommuniCore Plaza will be a place for intimate musical performances that extend out into the gardens, as well as large-scale concerts. CommuniCore Hall will be a flexible exhibition and gallery space.

Adjacent to CommuniCore Hall will be a new Mickey & Friends location where guests can meet their favourite Disney characters.
‘Journey of Water’ will be Disney’s first attraction based Moana, described as an exploration trail where guests can meet and play with magical, living water. It will be part of the World Nature neighbourhood.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, also part of Epcot’s transformation project, is opening later this month. It will be the first roller coaster at Epcot, and boasts the first reverse launch for a Disney coaster.
Located in the World Discovery neighbourhood, the ‘story coaster’ rotates 360 degrees throughout the experience. It is one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and the France Pavilion expansion launched at Epcot’s World Showcase neighbourhood in October 2021.
However, there has been no word on the new Mary Poppins attraction, which was announced for the United Kingdom Pavilion back in 2019.
