Dreamland Margate is to get a £15m upgrade, according to operator Sands Heritage Ltd.
Enhancements are set to include new rides and major improvements to the park's indoor and outdoor event spaces.The investment will also expand the park's footprint with the purchase of neighbouring properties and land. This will enable the regeneration of a section of Margate’s seafront.
Sympathetic restoration of existing rides will also be undertaken.
The strategy driven by the park's new management team is tosignificantly strengthen the business and enhance its customer offering.
Steven Mitchell, Interim Financial Director, said the plan was to give the local community something it can be proud of.
