Valley of Witches will include a bakery, restaurant, hot dog stand and shop

Japan’s Ghibli Park has unveiled the retail and dining experiences opening as part of the Valley of Witches area on 16 March.

Valley of Witches, the park’s fifth and final area, is based on anime films including Kiki’s Delivery Service and Howl’s Moving Castle.

As previously confirmed, Valley of Witches will feature the bakery residence of Kiki and her black cat Jiji from Kiki’s Delivery Service. Guests will be able to purchase bread from this venue and see where Kiki and Jiji sleep in the attic.

Ghibli Park has now unveiled the area’s restaurant, called Soratobu Oven, or Flying Oven. This is located at the entrance to Valley of Witches and will serve dishes such as pies and quiches. Another F&B outlet is a hot dog stand called the Hot Tin Roof.

Additionally, the world’s first Studio Ghibli theme park has revealed that Valley of Witches will have a shop named 13 Witches that will be selling themed merchandise.

When it opens, Valley of Witches will join the park’s existing areas – Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, Hill of Youth, Dondoko Forest, and Mononoke Village.

The latter is the latest area to debut at Ghibli Park. Inspired by Princess Mononoke‘s Irontown (Tatara) setting, Mononoke Village opened in November.

Valley of Witches will contain Ghibli Park’s first amusement park-style rides, including a merry-go-round and an aerial carousel-ride. The area is also home to the witch’s house from Earwig and the Witch, and a life-size Howl’s Moving Castle.
