International Speedway Corporation (ISC) has announced the development of ONE DAYTONA, an entertainment destination to be located close to Daytona International Speedway.
ISC is partnering with Jacoby Development, Inc. on the project in a 50/50 joint venture.
ONE DAYTONA will be sited on 181 acres that ISC owns north of International Speedway Boulevard in Daytona Beach, FL.
ISC's Chief Executive Officer, Lesa France Kennedy, said, "Our goal with ONE DAYTONA is to create a vibrant year-round destination that will serve as a new gateway to our hometown …This project allows us to continue reinvesting in our community while unlocking the full value of our prime acreage across from Daytona International Speedway."
ISC have approved land-use entitlements for a retail, dining and entertainment area of 1.4 million sq ft including:
- 2, 500 movie theater seats
- 660 hotel rooms
- 1, 350 residential units
- 567, 000 sq ft office space
- 500, 000 sq ft commercial/industrial space.
Concept designs for phase one of ONE DAYTONA include 1.1 million square feet dedicated to shopping, dining, hotel, theater and other entertainment close to Daytona International Speedway and Daytona Beach.
ISC hope to be able to move forward with the development within six months to one year.
