‘La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps’ Opens at Futuroscope
Leisure Expert Group, formally Jora Entertainment, has brought the ‘Raving Rabbids’ to life in a new 3D dark ride at Futuroscope.
‘La Machine à Voyager dans le Temps’ opened at the French film and technology park on 21 December 2013. The inspiration for a time travelling attraction was the popular video game by Ubisoft featuring the crazy Raving Rabbids, known in France as the Lapins Crétins.
Leisure Expert Group provided the 3D projections, various special effects and the latest interactive techniques whilst also collaborating with Jora Vision for the design, engineering, building and decor and with Jora Graphics for the visuals, to create an immersive ride in the world of the Lapins Crétins.
Director Production, Paul Nelissen, says, “ ‘The Raving Rabbids’ are a big hit in France at the moment, and to let them really come to life in a dark ride was a huge challenge. Thanks to the integration of special effects and technical tours de force, we have totally succeeded in this. Visitors really get to meet the ‘Raving Rabbids’.”
