Scenario Parent Company, Cockram, Receives Significant Strategic Investment from Kajima

Cockram Construction (“Cockram”), Scenario’s majority shareholder, has announced a significant strategic investment by Kajima Corporation (“Kajima”), a top twenty global construction company (ENR 2016 Global Contractor List).

Cockram President, Malcolm Batten, explained: “Kajima’s investment provides us with the financial resources and technical support to enable us to meet our customers’ rapidly growing needs in the United States and Asia Pacific. Our market demands comprehensive resources to efficiently deliver high quality IP environments with complex integration and performance requirements. This commitment enables us to address large scale projects.”

Currently Scenario has production facilities in Orlando, Los Angeles and Thailand with a total production footprint of close to 190,000 square feet. Our staff of 170 including over 100 seasoned design and management professionals will increase further with a dedicated design and engineering office in Manila in the Philippines.

Scenario will continue to execute on its current growth strategy led by Malcolm Batten and the existing Scenario executive management teams. The Scenario identity, market positioning and business plan will all remain unchanged.

Kajima has been in business for over 175 years with current annual revenues of approximately US$16 billion. It is one of the world’s largest construction companies and has operated in the United States for over 50 years, both directly and through subsidiaries.

Scenario is an international show contractor delivering comprehensive contracting and construction management services for Attractions, Themed Lands and Theme Parks.

Scenario’s history of successful projects for top tier customers is enhanced by the resources and experience of Cockram with over 750 staff and more than US$1 billion in projects under management. Scenario has executed over a dozen large-scale themed entertainment projects since 2005.
