Simworx announces launch of Fly-Motion

New flying theatre is ideal for locations with height limitations

FLY MOTION Ride simworx

Simworx, the dynamic media attractions specialist, has announced the launch of the newest addition to its portfolio of flying theatres, called the Fly-Motion. This new product is a result of the company’s continued commitment to listening to and meeting its clients’ needs. Many operators have limitations in terms of their venue height, and as a result, Simworx has created an attraction that fulfils this requirement.

The Fly-Motion is a result of reimagining and re-engineering the Cobra Motion Theatre. This has now been adjusted to better suit those venues with limited space, who still want to offer their guests a memorable flying theatre experience.

An immersive adventure

The Fly-Motion features a 3-DOF motion base mounted on a track system that will allow guests to board the ride in a themed loading bay. They will then journey along a short track before enjoying a grand reveal of the show room. Once the show begins, content is projected onto a 180-degree screen for an immersive experience.

The system is ideal for a range of shows, from narrative-driven adventures to flights over iconic landscapes. With a capacity of 30 visitors, the Fly-Motion can offer a high throughput of around 300 guests per hour. Operators can also choose to integrate 4D effects, like wind, water spray, aromas and more, alongside the surround sound and dynamic motion that will make the 3D film a unique experience.

The first Fly-Motion attraction will be installed later this year at Ba Na Hills in Vietnam.

Last month, the company announced the appointment of Paul Kent to the role of Global Business Development Manager. This appointment comes at a busy time for the company, which has a steady stream of projects following its successful navigation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Kent is an experienced industry veteran, who joined Simworx following 20 years with AV specialist Electrosonic
