Taylor Made Designs creates bespoke uniforms for Legoland Windsor’s Woodland Village

Taylor Made Designs - Legoland Woodland Village Case Study

Taylor Made Designs (TMD), a creator of uniforms and workwear for leading visitor attractions, theme parks, zoos, aquariums, and museums across the United Kingdom and Europe, has provided premium, high-detail uniforms to elevate the guest experience at Legoland Windsor’s new Woodland Village development.

Woodland Village enhances Legoland Windsor’s overnight capacity by adding new family-friendly lodges and cabins next to the resort’s main gates. The Legoland team put in great effort to create an atmosphere of natural calm throughout the guest experience, with uniforms playing a key role.

The operator needed a uniform that not only stood up to the demands of the team’s day-to-day activities but also aligned perfectly with the retreat’s woodland aesthetic.

Enhancing the aesthetic

TMD collaborated with Legoland on a detail-rich collection of branded garments to bring this vision to life, and together, they developed a uniform collection to echo and enhance the new Woodland theme.

The team sourced and customised items that complemented the woodland environment, meticulously choosing colours and materials that echoed the retreat’s natural features. This process required careful attention to detail, with thoughtful consideration for branding aspects like logos and colour schemes.

TMD assessed different methods for integrating these features, considering the advantages and disadvantages of print, embroidery, and badges. This deliberate evaluation was intended to ensure optimal detail and durability, leading to uniforms that were not only aesthetically pleasing and practical but also captured the essence of the Woodland Village.

Natural materials and denim were selected for the hospitality uniforms. Bespoke jackets were crafted from a rich forest-green fabric, while a deep maroon palette was chosen for indoor uniforms to give a cosy campfire ambience. TMD leveraged its internal embroidery skills to embellish clothing with over 1,000 acorns placed prominently on the collars.

Additionally, it designed a collection of 1245 custom-woven badges, enhancing the Woodland Village team’s park ranger appearance.

Taylor Made Designs has created uniforms and branded materials for some of the leading operators in the visitor attractions industry, including Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, Chessington World of Adventures, Crealy Theme Park and Resort, Sea Life, and more.
