Universal Studios Hollywood is the most expensive theme park to visit in the US according to a new survey.
HomeToGo has ranked the 45 leading US theme Parks based on this season’s prices. Each park is judged on four different criteria – the cost of an adult one-day anytime ticket during peak season, a meal combo deal, parking, and accommodation.
Universal Studios Hollywood comes in at the most expensive with a one-day anytime ticket costing $129, parking costing $25, a meal coming in at $16.38 and accommodation $96.29 for a total of $266.67.

While the most expensive overall, Universal Studios is less expensive than both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park for an entry ticket. The two California-based Disney parks charge the highest entry fee at $135 for an anytime, one-day ticket.
Cliff’s Amusement Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico is the most affordable park to visit according to the ranking. At $60.39, an entire day at the park including accommodation costs less than the entry tickets to 15 parks the list.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando has the highest price per ride in the ranking. According to the cost of a single day entry ticket, each ride costs $9.38. Meanwhile, Darien Lake in New York has the lowest price per ride with each costing $0.59 when dividing the number of rides against the cost of entry.

When it comes to accommodation, OWA in Foley, Alabama has the most expensive close by with the average nightly price costing $141.41 per person. The park is joined by Universal Studios Hollywood and Family Kingdom in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in making up the top three most expensive overnights.
The cheapest accommodation can be found at Cliff’s Amusement Park, where it costs as little as $27.41 per person to spend the night. The top three cheapest is rounded out with Frontier City in Oklahoma at a cost of $28.85 and Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia at $30.28.
