Halloween‘s relentless killer Michael Myers is returning to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort in 2022 for Halloween Horror Nights.

John Carpenter’s classic 1978 slasher film is the inspiration for this year’s haunted houses, with guests coming face to face with the menacing and murderous Michael Myers.

Everyone’s entitled to one good scare when the eerie event begins on 2 September at Universal Orlando and 8 September at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Halloween is “one of the most popular horror films of all time and to many fans, spawned the most feared antagonist in horror movie history”, Universal said in a news release.

Universal’s haunted houses will be “eerily authentic”, depicting the scariest scenes from the film and transporting guests to the infamous town of Haddonfield, Illinois.

As visitors make their way through Michael Myers’ decaying home and iconic scenes from Halloween, they will dodge attacks from the killer as he stalks them.

“Myers is the embodiment of pure evil who unleashes terror at every turn, and guests will quickly realize that he will stop at nothing and no one to take his bloody revenge,” Universal added.

Universal Pictures’ most infamous horror icons are also teaming up for the first time ever during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights in California and Florida.

Dracula, The Wolf Man and The Mummy will unite in the new ‘Universal Monsters: Legends Collide’ haunted houses.

Universal Orlando Resort previously announced that this year’s Halloween Horror Nights will be available for a record-breaking 43 nights.

Halloween Horror Nights is running through 31 October at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort.
