Universal Pictures’ most infamous horror icons are coming together for the first time ever during this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort.

Dracula, The Wolf Man and The Mummy will unite in the new ‘Universal Monsters: Legends Collide’ haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) in Florida and California.

Inspired by HHN’s previous ‘Universal Monsters’ attractions, the haunted houses will open as part of the eerie events at Universal Orlando on 2 September and Universal Studios Hollywood on 8 September.

In a news release, Universal said the “unique experience resurrects the monstrous triple threat of The Wolf Man, Dracula and The Mummy for one harrowing haunted house”.

Guests will be transported to the 19th century, where the monsters are seeking the ‘Amulet of Ra’. The Wolf Man thinks the ancient relic contains the power to lift his curse, while Dracula and The Mummy plan to use it against humankind.

“With the full moon on the rise and a race against time, guests find themselves entangled in a bloodthirsty battle between the terrifying titans – and only one will survive,” said Universal.

British-American guitarist Slash has collaborated with Universal Studios Hollywood to create an original composition for the park’s haunted house.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort will feature 10 horrifying haunted houses, while Universal Studios Hollywood’s event includes eight hair-raising haunted houses.

Universal Orlando Resort previously announced that this year’s Halloween Horror Nights will be available for a record-breaking 43 nights from September 2 through October 31.

HHN at Universal Studios Hollywood also runs through 31 October, with additional details for both events due to be announced soon.
