Zamperla, a leading ride manufacturer, has developed a plexiglass distancing solution to help keep visitors safe after COVID-19.
Zamperla is pleased to announce that it has created a new plexiglass safety barrier to help visitors keep their distance and stay safe once parks and other attractions reopen, following the pandemic. This will give both guests and operators peace of mind and allow visitors to enjoy their day out.
The barriers have been designed to be installed easily with no major changes to the ride. This new safety measure is fast and affordable, requiring no outside help to install.
Protecting guests and staff
The team is working on plexiglass barriers for the majority of the company’s classic and popular rides, for example, Magic Bikes, Disk’O, Jumping Tower, Sky Tower, Crazy Bus, Rocking Tug, Jump Around, NebulaZ, Happy Swing, Junior Coaster, Thunderbolt, Aerial Ride and more.
The distancing barrier will help to stop the spread of germs by blocking the droplets caused by people speaking, sneezing or coughing. Measures such as this will help operators to reopen safely.
Zamperla also recently announced its new AR remote assistance service. This means that the company will be able to continue providing quality customer care despite the pandemic and the resulting social distancing measures and travel restrictions. Zamperla is now using augmented, mixed and virtual reality as a way of providing remote technician support, enabling the company to meet customer needs.
Now, its Ride Mechanical Supervisor can use Extended Collaboration software to give instructions on the assembly of Zamperla’s rides. The platform allows for direct sharing of audio, video, remote augmented reality interactions and document sharing.
At IAAPA Expo 2019 last November, Zamperla announced Galleon+, a new system which gamifies the classic pirate ship ride experience with the use of gesture control, a scream meter, sound system, AI and real-time data.
