Warhammer creator Games Workshop has announced plans for the first Warhammer World location in the US.
Work is starting on the new Warhammer World attraction, which is based just outside of Washington, DC. The flagship venue is scheduled to open in late 2027.
Via an official announcement, Warhammer World in DC will celebrate the Warhammer brand "in all its forms: gaming, painting, modelling, storytelling, events, and community".
The original Warhammer World is located in Nottingham, UK and "sets a very high bar", the announcement added.

Instead of replicating the UK venue "brick-for-brick", Games Workshop plans to "build something equally uncompromising on quality and experience, something worthy of Warhammer’s rich settings" for the US.
"And of course, at the heart of all this is creating something extraordinary for all of you – the Warhammer fans," Games Workshop said.
"Now, there’s a lot to do – but with a fair wind, and the might of the Emperor and his inexhaustible armies, we hope to open the doors late in 2027."
The Nottingham-based Warhammer World is home to an event hall, an exhibition centre, a themed restaurant, and a shop selling Warhammer merchandise.
Warhammer LBE expansion
British tabletop miniature wargame franchise Warhammer has expanded in recent years, including Warhammer 40,000 video games and an Amazon Prime Video adaptation starring Henry Cavill.
Warhammer's existing location-based entertainment (LBE) also includes a virtual reality (VR) experience called Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine VR - Defenders of Avarax.
The VR experience is available at more than 100 Zero Latency venues across the world.
