Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI), the world’s premier exhibition and conference fully dedicated to the cruise ship industry, has announced the content schedule for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI Americas) 2025.
Speakers from notable brands such as Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, MSC Cruises, AIDA Cruises, and The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection will gather with their peers to explore the latest trends and future advancements in the dynamic cruise ship interiors sector.
This conference, accredited by IDCEC, is scheduled for 3 – 4 June at the Miami Beach Convention Center, along with Hotel & Resort Design South and the Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit.
Expert insights
The cruise ship industry seems divided by recent size trends, with new hotel brands entering the market with sleek, compact yacht-like vessels, while established brands launch massive, family-oriented mega ships.
Day one conference session, Does size matter? looks at customer trends that influence decisions, addresses inquiries about ROI, and more. Additionally, key topics addressed in the agenda include waste management in refurbishment, insights from cross-disciplinary design, and future-proofing strategies.
Conference titles include Delivering the brand: Aligning refurbishment and newbuild, and Shared horizons: Thinking across hospitality design disciplines.
The content schedule includes a guest session by Sustainable Design Summit, titled Reducing the mid-life waste crisis. This session extends the dialogue on minimising waste during refurbishments, building on insights from earlier Sustainable Design Summit working groups.
Speakers such as Bruce Goff from IHG Hotels & Resorts and Marc Spingler from AIDA Cruises will present the latest updates on circularity projects. They will share their experiences and insights on implementing circularity, while also emphasising the critical reasoning behind the business case.
Networking and more
Alongside the panel discussions, attendees are encouraged to attend intimate conversations with creative talents from prominent cruise brands, procurement firms, and design studios.
These hybrid networking and content sessions will reveal brand practices, procurement processes, and the evolution of their identities. Upcoming sessions include the CSI+ In Conversation with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, a Meet the Brand Q&A with The Parker Company, and the 305 Design Break, which highlights five Miami-based design studios and provides insights into their work in hotel, cruise, retail, and restaurant design.
