A £10 million expansion plan for Waterworld waterpark in Stoke on Trend, UK has been approved.

A 60,000 sq ft Leisure World to be built next to the waterpark will house a spa and fitness facility, a trampoline park, water rides and Mini Island Golf, reports Insider Media.

Waterworld Group recently acquired Birmingham based Adventure Mini Island Golf and is reported to have plans to invest £20 million over the next five years rolling out 20 indoor adventure golf sites in UK.

Currently Waterworld welcomes around 400,000 visitors a year.  The newly refurbished waterpark has nine water slides, a wave pool, fast rapids, and a mini assault course and a heated outdoor pool.

Waterworld was acquired by current owner Mo Chaudry in 1999 who has since made invested heavily in the attraction.
