Polin Waterpark’s King Cobra has scooped Best Waterslide in Europe for the third time at the annual Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The European Star Award was won in partnership with Aqualand Frejus in France, one of five parks honoured at the ceremony that feature Polin waterslides. The awards were launched by trade magazine Kirmes & Park Revue to recognise innovative ideas and entrepreneurial bravery within the industry.
The King Cobra, which measures 15.24 metres in height and 78 metres in length, has won a raft of awards since it launched and was the world’s first slide to have its theming built into the material of the slide itself.
Sohret Pakis, Director of Marketing and Communications for Polin, was in Sweden to accept the award: "We truly owe a debt of gratitude to the park owners who put their faith in us to deliver waterslides that create such dedicated fans – fans who come back over and over to be able to experience our rides, ” she said.
Other winners included:
- Aqua Fantasy in Turkey – Third Place in "Europe's Best Water Parks" and Seventh Place for "Europe's Best Water Slides" for Polin's Super Combo.
