Vortex International President Hand-Picked for Elite Canadian Leadership Programme

Stephen Hamelin, President and COE of leading innovator in aquatic play solutions, Vortex International, has been chosen to take part in an elite Ivey leadership development programme.

Vortex International CEO Hand-Picked for Elite Canadian Leadership ProgrammeQuantumShift is an initiative by the Ivey Business School, KPMG Enterprise, TD, and the Globe and Mail to help Canadian private businesses grow and improve their productivity. A select group of entrepreneurs are invited to take part in a demanding week-long course designed to give them the know-how to lift their companies to the next level.

Vortex was founded in 1995 with the introduction of the first Splashpad® and now boast over 6000 aquaplay installations worldwide.

The programme, which runs from May 3rd – 8th, concentrates on how to lead an enterprise through exponential growth; how to attract and retain the best employees; how to uncover obstacles that may be limiting growth; how to value a venture and use strategies for moving from business plan to financial proposition; and how to build a strong network of entrepreneurial peers to share best-practices.

Hamelin added: “We’re in a high growth phase at Vortex, and this is an opportunity to develop and refine strategies to help sustain that growth over the long term.”
