Arkansas’ Magic Springs Shifts Ownership Dec. 1

News

From December 1st, Magic Springs & Crystal Falls Water and Theme Park will have a different owner,  EPR Properties.

Steve Honeycutt, GM of the park said the property had been bought from its current owner, CNL Lifestyle Properties Inc. Currently run by Amusement Management Partners, the attraction, based 50 miles out of Little Rock, Arkansas, will in future be operated by Premier Parks.

The acquisition forms part of a $700 million investment in the leisure sector by EPR Properties. This includes the purchases of Northstar California Ski Resort, 15 amusement and water parks and five small entertainment centers.

The park’s staff will carry on in their current roles with the same rate of pay.

“It’s really business as usual. We’ll just have more resources available to us, and I’ll just run the park like I always have, ” Honeycutt said.

EPR Properties President and CEO Gregory Silvers said, “We are extremely pleased to announce this transaction, which is the culmination of a two-year process of disciplined underwriting, due diligence and negotiations.”
