WhiteWater and Wanda, China Collaborate On First Of Many Theme Parks

Dalian Wanda Group, China is poised to open the first of many theme parks currently being developed in collaboration with WhiteWater, global leader in innovative waterparks products and attractions.

The 60 hectare Xishuangbanna International Resort Theme Park in Jinghong city is part of the Xishuangbanna International Resort, believed to be one of the largest culture and tourism investments in the world. The 6km2 site also offers a golf course, a 5-star hotel, a theatre, a commercial centre, a hospital and a new tourism town.

The theme park showcases an array of WhiteWater waterslides as well as the company’s AquaPlay Giant RainFortress™. The slides and interactive play structure, with its 2800 litre tipping bucket, have been themed on a tropical jungle and feature brightly coloured fibreglass in yellows, pinks and blues.

WhiteWater, founded in 1980, has completed over 5000 projects across the globe and was recently awarded Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation for its excellence in management and business practices.

Xishuangbanna International Resort Theme Park celebrates its grand opening on September 26th 2015 and is expected to attract 500, 000 visitors a year.
