WhiteWater are celebrating the completion of their 100th AquaLaunch – the capsule that ramps up the thrill factor for WhiteWater waterslides all over the world.
Since making its first appearance in 2009, it has become a feature of slides such as the AquaDrop, the Flatline Loop and the AquaLoop.
The capsule has evolved considerably in the past five years both in terms of its visual appeal and the experience it delivers.
“We have worked hard over the years upgrading the quality and durability of the launch parts, ” says Mike Genovese, Operations Manager of Electrical and Mechanical Assembly for WhiteWater.
The fibreglass door has been upgraded to reduce noise and the capsule now comes with a push button operated door; all designed to further enhance the heart-pounding ride experience. Whitewater's designers are able to closely monitor the specialized production process by keeping it close to home in British Columbia, Canada.
“The goal is to provide a quality waterslide to our customer that is reliable and inexpensive to operate and maintain, ” comments Mike. 2015 is set to be busier than ever with China’s largest waterpark, Zhengzhou Yinji Kaifeng Waterpark in Henan featuring 7 AquaLaunches. Other projects with multiple AquaLaunches include Lotte World in Korea, Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia and Yalta Waterpark in the Ukraine.
