Leading creator of aerial adventure parks, Tree-Mendous, celebrates the opening of “Nature Trek” at the Bronx Zoo in New York City.

This custom designed, brand new type of family-based attraction allows guests to climb and traverse through a completely netted challenge course 14 feet in the air without the need for a harness. Nature based educational elements are part of the attraction.

Nature Trek offers exciting, engaging and safe play activities for all ages and abilities- the course is also ADA accessible. Tree-Mendous has already numerous requests from other prestigious places for similar installations. This new generation of aerial adventure allows for the largest span of age groups unlike any other aerial attraction currently on the market. The concept was developed in cooperation with SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment and WCS.

The Bronx Zoo is the largest city zoo in the US, attracting around 2.15 million visitors a year. It spans the Bronx River and occupies 265 acres of parkland and naturalistic habitats. It is managed by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) which also looks after Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo and New York Aquarium. Attractions include the Congo Gorilla Forest, Jungle World and a 4D theatre.

Excellence in Design Award

Tree-Mendous’s Nature Trek has already scooped the 2017” Excellence in Design” award from the Public Design Commission of New York City.

The company is no stranger to awards but describes this latest accolade as a great honor; and said it recognizes Tree-Mendous’ efforts to create organic designs that are truly “fun-ctional” and in harmony with their environment.
