The Global Licensing Group, the organiser of Brand Licensing Europe, has announced more sessions ahead of Licensing Week Virtual.
The five-day event features live and pre-recorded sessions on key themes and topics for the licensing industry and takes place online from 15 – 19 June 2020. The event is designed to bring the global licensing community together virtually, providing insights and inspiration. It is being run by the Global Licensing Group, in partnership with Licensing International.
Some highlights of the week include a live keynote session: Fueling Esports Fandom through Groundbreaking Partnerships. This will be delivered by Daniel Siegel, Activision Blizzard Esports and Activision Publishing at 9 am PST / 5 pm BST on Wednesday 17 June, looking at the world of digital-first activations and events.
Meanwhile, there will be three sessions available on-demand from 9 am PST / 5 pm BST of What Do Licensees Want? Here, Steven Heller, The Brand Liaison; Marty Malysz, Dependable Solutions; Noah Gelbart, CAA-GBG; and others will talk about what licensees need to survive and thrive in a post-COVID-19 world.
In The Day After COVID-19: Consumer and Marketing Trends, which will be available on-demand from 9 am PST / 5 pm BST from Thursday 18 June, Hamutal Scheiber of Scheiber Research will explore what shifts in behaviour we might see going forward after coronavirus.
Another highlight will be a discussion called Strength in Numbers: Maximize Your Next Licensing Initiative with Group Player Rights, available on-demand from 9 am PST / 5 pm BST from Wednesday 17 June. This will look at collective branding power. Speakers for this session are Terése Whitehead, NFLPA; D.J. Kazmierczak, Panini; Eric Winston, Chief Partnerships Officer and Renee Montgomery, Atlanta Dream and it will be moderated by Blake Lawrence, opendorse.
In addition to this, a Pitch the Brands competition will be taking place Licensing Week Virtual, in partnership with InventHelp. US-based inventors will have the chance to gain insights from a panel of product experts, and the opportunity to pitch their concept live in front of the global licensing industry.
Brand Licensing Europe 2019 took place in London last October and brought together over 7,800 retailers and manufacturers with more than 260 brands.
