‘Back to Hogwarts’ has returned to King’s Cross for the first time since 2019.

The Wizarding World has unveiled an array of new location-based entertainment (LBE) experiences as part of its ‘Back to Hogwarts’ celebrations.

‘Back to Hogwarts’ returned to London’s King’s Cross on 1 September for the first time since 2019, with hundreds of Gryffindors, Slytherins, Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs in attendance. The event is open to the public until 4 September.

As part of the festivities, new venues for Harry Potter: The Exhibition have been revealed. The touring exhibition is heading to Atlanta, Georgia on 21 October and making its European debut in Vienna’s METAStadt on 16 December.

New locations for magical attractions

Imagine Exhibitions, a leader in worldwide travelling exhibitions and entertainment, launched its bespoke Harry Potter exhibition at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia earlier this year.

New locations have also been announced for Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience, a light trail featuring creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises.

The magical attraction is returning to Cheshire in the UK from 15 October. It arrives in Westchester, New York on 22 October and opens in Leesburg, Virginia from 29 October.

Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience is a collaboration between Thinkwell Group, the global experience design and production company, and Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment.

In addition, a rendering of the Harry Potter: Magic at Play touring experience’s Quidditch skills training games space has been released. The interactive attraction debuts on 11 November at Chicago’s Water Tower Place.

Harry Potter: A Yule Ball Celebration is taking place across the globe this year, including Milan, Montreal, Houston and Mexico City. The experience will feature spellbinding elements, as well as a market selling branded merchandise and F&B.

Finally, Wizarding World Festival is heading to the US in 2023. The three-day event will offer panel discussions, film screenings, special guest appearances, autograph signings, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise and more magical experiences.
