Canada

Canada, a country in North America, is the second largest country in the world by total area and boasts the world’s longest coastline. It is also characterised by its outstanding natural beauty, with the Rocky Mountains, Niagara Falls, and the Northern Lights among its most popular sights.

The country’s expansive wilderness is punctuated by major cities which include Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Vancouver, and it has a total population of over 40 million people. The national languages are English and French.

Canada is known for its ice hockey, maple syrup, and politeness – all things which hint at the hospitality that guests can expect at the country’s visitor attractions.

Ontario is home to one of the best theme parks in North America, Canada’s Wonderland. Cedar Fair owns and operates the theme park which features over 200 attractions including 18 roller coasters, two kids’ zones, and a 20-acre Splash Works water park.

Also located in the province of Ontario is Toronto Zoo. This is an Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) accredited tourist attraction and conservation institution which works to bring together people, animals, and conservation research in the battle against extinction. It envisions a world where wildlife and wild spaces flourish, and runs several outstanding projects for supporting animals and their natural habitats.

In Montreal, Quebec, visitors can enjoy the country’s biggest permanent immersive destination.  OASIS immersion showcases works from leading immersive arts talent. The includes three immersive galleries, two light experiences, and a lounge area with a café-bar and boutique, which together span 2,200m2.

Moving to the west of the country, in British Columbia visitors can enjoy the Vancouver Aquarium, a world-class facility which was saved from closure in 2021 by Herschend Enterprises. This investment has enabled the Aquarium to continue its work at the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre and to build on its 60-year tradition of saving marine mammals along the BC coastline.
