Another new attraction, this one called ‘The Lab’, has debuted at Las Vegas’ immersive entertainment complex Area15.
Per a press release, The Lab is an attractions and gaming hub offering various technology-driven games and interactive experiences.
The Lab’s virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences include Area15’s first-ever proprietary gaming attraction, Origin Quest.
This narrative-driven scavenger hunt challenges guests to unravel “the enigmatic origin story of Area15”. As part of the “Multiverse Maintenance crew”, players team up with characters Newt and Ritchie to uncover secrets and solve puzzles.

Using their smartphones, guests can work their way through six stations scattered across Area15. Each of these zones reveal a piece of the puzzle about “Particle A15”, which is apparently “the force that makes this place so special”.
Other new experiences in The Lab include an AR dodgeball game, a lazer maze, and Bot Breach. During the latter, guests must defend Area15 in a VR world from “a seamlessly harmless robot”.
“Area15 is not just redefining what an entertainment complex can be but also setting a new standard for what an amusement park should offer,” said Winston Fisher, chief executive officer, Area15.
“We’re expanding upon the brick-and-mortar, immersive and interactive attractions Area15 has become known for into a new, personalized playground of the future—a distinctive, digitally augmented world where each visitor can design their own unique adventure.
“Personalized playground of the future”
“With Origin Quest and our array of immersive attractions in The Lab, we offer an environment where the extraordinary becomes the expected and every visit is an unparalleled adventure in storytelling and innovation.”
In more news, Area15 has partnered with Superplastic to create the designer toy brand’s first-ever experiential attraction.
Also coming to Area15 is Universal’s first permanent horror experience outside of its parks, and a new John Wick experience.
