The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) has opened up discounted admission for this year’s Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo, which takes place this May in Denver.
Attendees can expect to engage with colleagues, delve deeply into the social and community effect of museums, and leave with practical tools and strategies to use back home with the help of interactive and practical programming and workshops.
There will also be events to help industry members get together and form the career relationships they need to succeed, and a jam-packed MuseumExpo with vendors eager to showcase their latest products alongside content and poster presentations, and networking opportunities.
There will also be NeighborHub get-togethers where attendees can meet people working in museums who share their interests or job function.
To fully experience everything Denver has to offer, those participating in the AAM event will be eligible for free or discounted entry to nearby museums.
Invaluable insights
Providing an additional opportunity to explore the city, the pre-and post-conference days will have experiential sessions at Denver museums so professionals can check out nearby museums in action.
A representative says: “With over one hundred sessions, dozens of networking events from workshops to parties, and more, #AAM2023 will give you the insights and connections you won’t want to miss out on.”
“We know planning can be tough so if you need some help convincing your boss that #AAM2023 is where you need to be, use our handy template to get them on board. Many thanks to our top-level sponsors who help to make #AAM2023 possible.”
The event’s Visionary Sponsors are blackbaud, History Colorado and HTB, with Leader Sponsors being the Children’s Museum of Denver and Denver Botanic Gardens.
Tickets now available
Prospective attendees for the 19-22 May 2023 conference can save up to $150 when they register with the Early Bird offer. The AAM is also providing accommodation and travel assistance online.
Last year’s Annual Meeting was held in Boston, where museum professionals got together to share ideas and make connections that will transform the sector.
