Gateway Ticketing Systems has announced that Curious Minds Discovery Zone in Parsons, Kansas, has been using the Blueshift online store for the past three months, addressing capacity management needs in the wake of the pandemic.
This is a popular children’s museum that encourages hands-on learning, founded by a group of parents who wanted to create new learning opportunities with the ability to touch and explore exhibits. Pretend play stations in the museum include a doctors/dentists office, a grocery store, a restaurant, and a farm area. In the science centre, they can get hands-on with magnifying glasses, rocks, fossils, and shells.
Following COVID-19, the attraction was in need of a ticketing system that could handle its new capacity management needs.
Streamlined capacity management
“In order for our very small children’s museum to open during the pandemic we needed a way to limit the number of people in the museum at one time,” says Becky Falke, Director of Curious Minds. “Our solution for this was to add online ticket sales.”
