Lord Cultural Resources appoints new members of leadership team

Joy Bailey-Bryant, Dov Goldstein and Javier Jimenez will help lead the firm into the future

Lord Cultural Resources, the global cultural professional practice, has announced the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of Joy Bailey-Bryant, Dov Goldstein and Javier Jimenez.

Gail and Barry Lord established Lord Cultural Resources in 1981, and it has since grown to become a highly influential cultural planning company specializing in museums, cultural districts, and the creative economy.

Gail Lord comments: “These three incredible people are a huge part of Lord’s current and growing success as the world´s most impactful, thoughtful and insightful cultural planning firm. I will continue to be part of our team, refocusing my energy from day-to-day management to special projects.”

Vision for the future

Lord Cultural Resources, which has offices in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, Madrid, and Mumbai, has contributed to the creation of places, spaces, and experiences for more than 2,700 projects across 450 cities and 57 countries.

Its new, extended leadership team brings a broad range of skill sets and expertise that will help to lead the organisation into the future.

Bailey-Bryant has been appointed as president and managing partner and is based in New York. She says: “Lord’s vision statement is ‘making the world a better place through culture.’ I have had the great pleasure of doing that for the last 20 years, and I cannot wait to do it more. We will continue to impact every space that we’re in from the inside out by understanding people, their stories, and making sure that everything that we do is reflective and authentic.”

In Toronto, Goldstein has been appointed as managing partner. He comments: “Our vision for the company is to continue the legacy of this incredible company that started years ago by Barry and Gail Lord. My role moving forward will be to leverage the greatest asset we have in this company, which is our people.”

Jimenez is now managing partner in Madrid. He says: “We love helping cultural organizations find creative ways to be financially sustainable so they can deliver what their mission promises. I look forward to continuing to offer this support in my new leadership role and innovating our internal systems, processes and professional standards.”

Last month, Lord Cultural Resources celebrated as Montclair State University opened The Charles J. Muth Museum of Hinchliffe Stadium. The firm developed an interpretive, facilities and business strategy for the new museum, which explores the history of Hinchliffe Stadium, one of the few remaining Negro League Ballparks in North America and a location of community activity for the city and surrounding area.
