The Seattle NFT Museum, the first museum devoted to NFTs in the Pacific Northwest region of North America, is opening on January 14, 2022 in the city’s neighbourhood of Belltown.
The museum is a physical space designed to showcase digital art. Tickets are available for the opening weekend, with events including artist showcases and Q&A sessions with NFT artists and collectors.
Founded by entrepreneurs Jennifer Wong and Peter Hamilton, the Seattle NFT Museum will include artworks by influential creators, as well as educational exhibitions, ticketed events and live mintings.

“It is our vision to create a space that serves the imagination of NFT artists and creators while helping to confirm Seattle’s place as a global cultural and technology destination,” said Wong.
“It will be thrilling to host some of the most inspiring NFT innovators and artists, but even more exciting to see how the Seattle community gives the space a life of its own, helping to unlock imaginations and influence the next generation of artists,” Hamilton added.
The museum’s opening weekend will feature digital artist Blake Kathryn, 3D artist Neon Saltwater, and the collection of Aaron Bird, a tech founder and NFT collector.
“Everything about this world of blockchain authentication excites me, and seeing the work of some of the world’s most exciting projects on display in a physical space is going to be wild,” Bird said.

Additional artists and studios confirmed for the launch weekend include Charles Peterson, H+ Creative, and Robbie Trevino, whose work “strives to explore the unexpected and take you to places you had not imagined”.
“Recent times have pushed us to fully embrace 3D, digital platforms and all of the capabilities that go hand in hand with the future of visual media,” said Hannah Stouffer, director at H+ Creative.
The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures was selling Pillar Award NFTs earlier this year to raise funds. Russia’s State Hermitage Museum was also trading digital art on Binance NFT.
