The Shipping Monster, a provider of logistics and transportation to touring exhibitions, attractions and the entertainment industry, recently exhibited at the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo (SEA), as part of its expansion into the Middle East.
The three-day event in Riyadh included a wide range of educational sessions, as well as a large trade show floor. During the show, Robert Aspinall, CEO and founder of The Shipping Monster, led a panel discussion called The Entertainment Logistics Shipping Experience, with co-panellists Amer Abou Zour of the Al Hokair Group and Travis Kline of WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer.
Exploring challenges and opportunities
The themes discussed during the panel session included current challenges in the global supply chain, how the effects of COVID-19 are still relevant, and the steps taken to improve the supply chain for the future. There were also extensive conversations on why the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an important market for attractions.
The company’s new life-size Shipping Monster mascot also made his debut at SEA Expo 2023, where he danced his way through the halls of the conference.
“Our heartfelt thanks to the attendees of SEA, and to our panellists’ frank discussions about their unique perspectives,” says Aspinall. “It was a fun and welcoming environment, and we are pleased to have been a part of it.”
Last month, Aspinall also spoke to blooloop about some of the trends and challenges in the global shipping industry, including sustainability and the importance of cost-effectiveness. He also talked about The Shipping Monster’s worldwide logistics networks and some of the new markets that the firm is entering.
Aspinall has also recently led panels on the topic of sustainability at both the Museums + Heritage Show in London, UK and the AAM Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado.
Earlier this year, The Shipping Monster shared more information about a recent delivery – transporting eight sections of the Berlin Wall.
