Cotaland, a new theme park located at the Circuit of the Americas race track in Austin, Texas, has announced its official opening date.
Debuting on 26 September, the new park combines family-friendly entertainment, thrilling rides and the excitement of motorsports.
After launching, Cotaland will offer major thrill rides, family attractions, immersive entertainment, seasonal events, motorsports-themed experiences, and a unique location.
"Cotaland was created to be far more than a traditional amusement park," said founder Bobby Epstein.
"This is where theme park thrills, world-class racing, live entertainment and family experiences come together in a way that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the country."
The park, which has been in development for five years, has already opened some of its attractions and experiences.
Circuit Breaker by Vekoma Rides, the Dutch roller coaster specialist, launched briefly for preview rides for the race track's Christmas holiday lights event in December.
The ride will officially launch with the rest of the park on 26 September, making it the second Vekoma Tilt Coaster to open in North America after Siren's Curse at Cedar Point.
Also opening at Cotaland is Palindrome, a unique Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster with a shuttle style, two inversions, a height of 95 feet and a maximum speed of 51 mph.
Attractions at Cotaland include the Soggy Logger log flume, the Cloud Flyer swing ride, the Cotaland Express train ride, a Ferris wheel, karting experiences, and family coasters.
Earlier this year, Universal Kids Resort opened in Frisco, Texas as the first-ever theme park created for young children by Universal Destinations & Experiences.
