The community-focused family entertainment venue Adrenalin Rush in East Haven, Connecticut, is celebrating the successful installation of its newest attraction, BrushBoarding. This new feature, a waterless surfing-like attraction, has improved involvement in active play in all areas of the FEC and has drawn more guests to the location since it was installed.

The first of its kind in the USA, this creative patented board sport has gained popularity among children, teenagers, and adults seeking a fresh, exciting, and demanding pastime.

This unique turnkey fitness attraction allows attractions to offer a fun wave/surfing-like attraction with little effort. The BrushBoarding system can be installed in various locations and types of businesses, from amusement parks and leisure centres to FECs and more.

Active entertainment

“Our goal has always been to provide our local community with the most exciting and engaging activities, and the introduction of BrushBoarding is a testament to that commitment,” says Chuck Elrick, owner of Adrenalin Rush. “The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re thrilled to see so many new and existing guests enjoying the board sport attraction.”

After the installation, the park experienced a significant rise in customer foot traffic and a boost in media exposure, which led to an increase in overall revenue.

Elrick adds: “I have been involved with our local community my entire life and focused on fitness, fun and personal wellbeing, so whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun day out with the family, from trampolining to ninja course and now BrushBoarding there’s something for everyone at our recently renovated Adrenalin Rush CT FEC.”

Surf parks and surf-themed attractions are a growing trend in the global attractions industry. New facilities have recently been announced in California, USA; Melbourne, Australia; Birmingham, UK, and more. In an opinion piece for blooloop, FlowRider’s Shelby Myrman explored how attractions can authentically get in on the trend.
