Children’s edutainment favourite, KidZania, is set to open its first venue in Abu Dhabi following a partnership deal between Aldar Properties (Aldar) and Emaar Entertainment.
According to the Times of Oman, the new attraction will open in Yas Mall in 2018.
In an increasingly digital age, KidZania’s hands-on children’s edutainment concept has taken the world by storm. The world’s fastest growing interactive entertainment brand allows children to explore and engage with realistic play versions of hospitals, fire stations, beauty salons and more.
The Abu Dhabi site will be KidZania’s 21st location, joining a global list that includes Tokyo, Jakarta, Koshien, Lisbon, Dubai and London.
The announcement is intended to reinforce Yas Island as a world-class leisure destination. Kidzania will join Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Water World and luxury hotels as well as the recently announced Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi theme park. A SeaWorld is also in the pipeline.
Maitha Al Dossari, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Entertainment, said the existing KidZania in Dubai Mall had proved a “must-visit leisure destination for young ones”:
“The opportunity to learn real-life professional skills drives their all-round development and delights families,” added Al Dossari.
