ProSlide Technology Inc., an industry leader in water ride manufacturing and design, has revealed the new PowerRAPIDS family raft attraction.
Created to meet the evolving needs of contemporary families, PowerRAPIDS offers an energetic ride experience that is immersive, vibrant, and built for modern multi-generational storytelling.
IAAPA Expo launch
PowerRAPIDS was unveiled by ProSlide president Ray Smegal during the company’s press conference at IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando.
The new attraction extends the company's tradition of innovation and family engagement, which began over three decades ago with the world's first family raft ride at Disney's Blizzard Beach.
With this new chapter, ProSlide's continues this legacy of pioneering family attractions while delivering a more active, dynamic, and emotionally resonant experience for today's visitors.

"Family attractions are evolving, and parks need something new to meet that shift," says Smegal.
“PowerRAPIDS brings them [families] together through a high-energy adventure that balances real motion, cinematic pacing, and authentic storytelling – something only ProSlide can deliver."
Accessible, exciting, and efficient
PowerRAPIDS blends the excitment of a family river rafting adventure with the flow and emotion of a themed journey.
Visitors navigate smooth waters that build suspense before plunging into thrilling rapids as they move between open and enclosed flume sections. The ride generates rhythm, anticipation, and energy throughout.
The course includes sharp directional changes, dynamic boulder shaping, and a high-volume water flow that creates playful turbulence, waves, and a natural, living-river experience that is exciting yet suitable for all ages.
This combination of intensity and accessibility caters to the modern family’s interest in greater interaction and shared experiences.
Furthermore, PowerRAPIDS was created with park operators in mind.
The ride has a capacity of 1,800 riders per hour, eliminates stagnant water, simplifies start-up and maintenance, and offers an operational model that is closer to a water slide than a lazy river.

CCTV integration and strategically placed operator stations enable efficient monitoring and easy-to-use control across the attraction.
Its forward-thinking design represents the same dedication to innovation that defined the success of ProSlide's HIVE, which launched a year ago, underscoring the company's momentum in producing the next generation of high-energy, storytelling-driven water attractions.
PowerRAPIDS will debut at Aquatopia Water Park, Vietnam, in February 2026. This opening will mark the start of a new era in ProSlide’s family attraction portfolio.
Last month, ProSlide reflected on the success of the World Waterpark Association (WWA) Show 2025, held in Orlando from 20 to 23 October.
