MAPIC & LDP whitepaper

Leisure Development Partners (LDP), a leading economics and strategy consultant, and RX France, the organiser of MAPIC, have launched a new whitepaper: Stepping Stones to Add Entertainment Tenants – Is there an Entertainment formula…?

The whitepaper has been produced in association with A Different View and Panelbase.com, and offers a guide to the essential tools and insights that can support mall owners and developers in launching their strategy definition process.

Developing an effective strategy

The whitepaper has been released ahead of the upcoming MAPIC conference and LeisurUp event in Cannes, France, which is taking place from 28 to 30 November.

Stepping Stones to Add Entertainment Tenants – Is there an Entertainment formula…?, written by LDP, explores the major considerations for adding entertainment tenants to retail locations.

The annual publication is a collaboration with leading primary research firm A Different View, and draws on LDP’s experience assisting shopping centre and attraction clients in determining the most effective strategy for achieving their overall goals, as well as offering key insights into what types of entertainment drive consumers to visit, stay longer, and spend more.

Key points covered include:

  • Understanding your current audience and the objectives that you hope to fulfill by adding entertainment
  • Opportunities presented by Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
  • The importance of working with a specialised market and feasibility consultant to develop a strategy based on your objectives and market context.
  • The long-term value of investing in the development of a well-balanced entertainment strategy.

Members of the LDP team recently shared their reflections on one of the newest additions to London’s growing competitive socialising scene, in advance of the second UK venue opening for the brand.

Meanwhile, RX France has announced the shortlisted projects for this year’s MAPIC Awards. The awards recognise excellence, innovation, and creativity in the retail real estate sector, and the winners will be revealed during an awards ceremony and gala dinner on 29 November 2023.

In keeping with the theme of this year’s conference, “The Age of Responsible Growth,” the awards aim to identify iconic projects and market leaders which champion environmental protection and community well-being.
