SeaWorld San Antonio has unveiled its new Barracuda Strike attraction, set to be Texas' first inverted family coaster when it opens in spring 2026.

Designed by Bolliger & Mabillard for guests of all ages, Barracuda Strike is themed around the barracuda, a large, predatory fish known for its torpedo-shaped body and sharp teeth.

"With every twist, drop, and tight turn, Barracuda Strike will deliver a rush of excitement that’s bold enough for thrill-seekers, yet built for the whole family," SeaWorld says.

Suspended beneath the track, riders will enjoy "a high-speed pursuit that captures the speed, power, and precision of the barracuda", it adds.

Barracuda Strike will offer speeds of 44 mph, a track length of around 1,800 feet, and a 90-foot lift hill.

“Barracuda Strike is a game-changer for family thrill rides, and we are excited to bring another great roller coaster to our guests in the spring of 2026,” said Jeff Davis, SeaWorld San Antonio's park president.
