Semnox Solutions, a technology provider for the entertainment and amusement industry, has entered into a strategic partnership with The Pelican Group, a leading operator of amusement and vending services in the US.
Together, they will bring the Semnox Parafait RFID card system to over 400 Regal theatres nationwide.
Milestone theatre-based RFID rollout
This partnership marks a significant step forward in improving the visitor experience at Regal locations by delivering a contemporary, cash-free, frictionless play card solution driven by Semnox's cutting-edge Parafait technology.
Visitors will enjoy convenient RFID-enabled tap-to-play transactions for arcade game play, as well as seamless integration with existing Regal entertainment options.
The Pelican Group has extensive experience in managing amusement operations in theatres, family entertainment centres, and other venues.
It will use Semnox’s technology to enhance operational efficiency, improve visitor engagement, and provide comprehensive data insights across the Regal entertainment network.
Sean Hanna, chief revenue office at The Pelican Group, says: "We’re thrilled to bring cutting-edge technology to our Regal locations, ensuring guests have a smooth and modern experience while allowing operators to better manage performance and revenue."
"At Regal, we are always looking for ways to elevate the guest experience," says Adam Rymer, chief commercial officer at Regal.
"Partnering with Semnox and The Pelican Group enables us to bring the latest innovations in entertainment technology directly to our customers."
Bepin Jose, president at Semnox Solutions, says: "This partnership with The Pelican Group and Regal is an exciting opportunity to showcase how our Parafait ecosystem can transform entertainment venues into fully integrated, customer-centric destinations."
The Parafait RFID system rollout will continue into summer 2026, and is one of North America's biggest theatre-based deployments of RFID technology.
Earlier this week, Semnox Solutions shared details of its extensive installation at Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, in one of its largest projects on the East Coast to date.
