Nature is a key part of this resort

Red Sea Global and Four Seasons have announced a new wellness resort for Amaala, a sustainable development in Saudi Arabia.

Part of a trend for wellness tourism, the Four Seasons resort at Triple Bay (Amaala’s first phase) will feature 220 rooms and suites, villas with private pools, and 26 residential villas.

“Amaala is creating a new category of coastal lifestyle with regeneration and wellness at its core,” said John Pagano, group CEO of Red Sea Global.

The resort, Pagano added, is designed “to allow guests and residents to get back to nature, recharging their mind, body, and soul”.

Designed by architects U+A, Amaala’s new wellness resort includes a luxury spa within a “garden of tranquillity”. This will offer therapeutic treatments including halotherapy, cryotherapy, and advanced skin therapies.

For fitness enthusiasts, Triple Bay’s 300 hectares of hills, wadis and beaches will provide trails for canyoning and exploring. Guests can also take part in guided hikes, mountain biking and equestrian bridle trails.

“We’re honoured to be part of this exceptional development, creating a new luxury lifestyle experience for guests and residents, further expanding Four Seasons’ footprint within Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing tourism industry,” added Bart Carnahan, president of global business development, portfolio management and residential at Four Seasons.

In addition to wellness and fitness experiences, the new property includes six F&B outlets, spaces for meetings and events, and a discovery centre for guests to learn about the local surroundings.

Amaala’s first phase underway

“Nature is a key part of this resort, as it is for the ethos of Four Seasons luxury properties around the world,” said Martin Dufresne, design principal at U+A.

“We used landscaping unsparingly, yet very deliberately, to frame the spectacular views of the bay, to guide guests and residents between the different amenities and to create feelings of calm and serenity throughout the property.”

The first phase of Amaala is well underway, with the first guests set to arrive next year, Red Sea Global said in a press release. Triple Bay consists of 12 resorts with more than 2,000 hotel rooms.

Red Sea Global has also partnered with longevity clinic and wellness brand Clinique La Prairie to develop a health resort in Amaala.
