News
greenloop sustainability in visitor attractions

greenloop 2022 is unmissable for anyone working in the visitor attractions industry, seeking to take climate action.

Due to unprecedented demand, early bird tickets for the sustainability conference greenloop 2022 have been extended to 14th April.

Now in its second year, greenloop is taking place from 19-20th April. The early bird ticket pricing offers 25% off standard ticket prices.

Standard tickets are just ÂŁ75. We also have a ÂŁ150 early bird group ticket for visitor attraction operators and institutions which allows up to 10 attendees for each group ticket.

Why attend greenloop

The virtual conference caters to a variety of interests and level of expertise. Our speakers will give attendees practical advice on lots of different topics including:

Merlin Entertainments will explain how to get the Board on board with sustainability. Manchester Museum will explore their carbon literacy toolkit, and PlanetMark and Good Journey will both give advice to suppliers and operators.
  • Advice for suppliers – Learn why you urgently need to measure your carbon footprint with PlanetMark and Liseberg. Get help on how to do it with the UN.
  • Theme park and water park professionals – Listen to Walt Disney Imagineering, Merlin Entertainments, Liseberg, Miral, PortAventura and WhiteWater. Our speakers will discuss Science Based Targets, supply chains, sustainable design and how to implement sustainable initiatives.
  • Museum professionals – We have Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, Whitworth and Manchester Art Gallery, The National Gallery, M+ Museum, Manchester Museum, Blenheim, Nomad Exhibitions, Buro Happold and Amaala. Don’t take our word for it!

When it comes to solving really big challenges, like how do we build sustainable theme parks, resorts and cruise ships around the world, it takes all of us and all of these different industries coming together.

And that’s what’s great about greenloop … our collaboration is key to really think about how we build sustainable themed entertainment experiences.

Emily Dow, Design Studio Executive with Walt Disney Imagineering at greenloop 2021

greenloop is a must-attend event, crossing boundaries to bring together really thought-provoking insights and ideas around the way visitor attractions can not only minimise their environmental impact on the planet, but also act as catalysts for positive change.

I cannot think of another event which goes near greenloop as a concentrated dollop of practical green inspiration – a must-attend for several of our team.

Dominic Hare, CEO Blenheim

Blooloop is supporting EARTHDAY’s tree planting Canopy Project, donating ÂŁ1 for each ticket sold, and will in addition donate at least 5% of our ticketing revenue to Project Seagrass.
