Miguel Naranjo, Programme Officer and Climate Neutral Now Lead at the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, will speak at greenloop 22.

In order for global warming to meet the 1.5C target adopted in the Paris Climate Agreement, greenhouse gas emissions had to start falling by 7.6C each year from 2020.

Miguel will talk about how the United Nations supports businesses in measuring their carbon footprints, and then taking action to reduce and offset. Attendees will learn the practical steps they can take to get their organisations started on the path to carbon neutral, and the help available for the journey.

greenloop sustainability in visitor attractions conference takes place online on 19-20 April 2022. With leaders from across the industry sharing their sustainability insights and strategies, this is a not-to-be-missed event for anyone working in sustainability.

greenloop is a must-attend event, crossing boundaries to bring together really thought-provoking insights and ideas around the way visitor attractions can not only minimise their environmental impact on the planet, but also act as catalysts for positive change.

I cannot think of another event which goes near greenloop as a concentrated dollop of practical green inspiration – a must-attend for several of our team.

Climate Neutral Now

The UN’s Climate Neutral Now programme helps organizations to act now in order to achieve a climate neutral world by 2050 as set out in the Paris Agreement.

Participation is completely free and there are lots of useful resources on the Climate Neutral Now website including carbon footprint calculators and signposting. Miguel will explain how companies can benefit from signing the Carbon Neutral Now Pledge and following the measure, reduce, contribute and report programme structure.

Why should you attend greenloop

greenloop draws on Blooloop’s cross sector, global audience to bring together sustainability leaders from theme parks, museums, zoos, aquariums and more to inspire and share openly their lessons learned.

Our online event platform uses smart networking tools to match you with attendees with similar interests, so that you can quickly make useful contacts.

When it comes to solving really big challenges, like how do we build sustainable theme parks, resorts and cruise ships around the world, it takes all of us and all of these different industries coming together.

And that’s what’s great about greenloop … our collaboration is key to really think about how we build sustainable themed entertainment experiences.
