Arcadrone Drone Interactive

Drone Interactive, a specialist in drone-based attractions featuring augmented reality, has announced the launch of its new product, ARCADRONE. The award-winning attraction combines drone piloting with mixed reality video games.

Drone Interactive is proud to announce the launch of its flagship product, ARCADRONE, after signing its first pilot installation in France. The startup company is also celebrating an awards win for the innovative new product. It won the Bpifrance Innovation Competition in February 2019. The company is using the prize money of €320,000 to invest in launching and marketing its ARCADRONEe product.

The competition recognises innovative projects that have large market potential. It is managed by ADEME, Bpifrance and FranceAgriMer.

Huge potential for amusement parks and FECs

Drone Interactive ArcadroneARCADRONE is ideal for amusement parks and FECs. The unique attraction makes drone flying accessible to all, using a high-quality anti-collision system. It offers an interactive and immersive gaming experience, where each drone interacts with elements of the virtual world, such as characters and bonuses. Players use video headsets for full immersion in a fun and out-of-the-ordinary experience. Spectators can also take part in the fun, as the player’s actions are displayed on screens at the same time.

ARACADRONE caught the eye of the Altiplano Ground at the Euro Attractions Show in 2018. The French company specialises in indoor leisure activities and has recently signed a contract with Drone Interactive to install the ARCADRONE at its new 3,500-metre square park in Dardilly, France. Operations are due to begin before summer, providing Drone Interactive with a real-life showroom for the product.

“During the Euro Attractions Show last year, they were instantly drawn by our concept,” says Vincent Rigau, Drone Interactive CEO. “We wanted to launch with a major player and Altiplano fully meets our expectations.”

The company is expecting to sign its first orders between now and the end of the year, for an estimated revenue of €500,000. It will be showcasing ARCADRONE at the IAAPA Expo Europe 2019 show—formerly Euro Attractions Show—which will take place in Paris from September 16-19.
